My husband and I have been trying to conceive for 3+ years. We suffered a miscarriage in August 2012. I have been diagnosed with Stage IV Endometriosis and Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome as well as Hypothyroidism, all believe to be hindering my fertility. We were told our best and possibly only option to have a baby is through IVF. To add insult to injury, due to other health complications we were told if we wanted to pursue IVF, we needed to do so in a timely matter or risk a full-hysterectomy. We tried our first IVF cycle in January of 2016 but we were not successful and had no remaining embryos. This means we have to do an entire new round of IVF to try again. We have already spent $24k towards treatments as IVF is not covered by insurance. This attempt will be our last shot(pardon the pun) at trying to have a baby of our own as we cannot afford anymore treatments.
