Practice Makes Perfect's #GivingTuesday Campaign

Practice Makes Perfect eliminates the summer learning loss (the 3.5 months of learning lost over the summer due to lack of summer learning opportunities) for students, K-12, in high need socioeconomically disadvantaged neighborhoods of New York City through a near-peer mentorship model. PMP works with schools whose students are first-generation Americans or have their income supplemented by government assistance.

PMP’s summer programs pair skills development for younger students with leadership development, career training and college prep for older students. Through a unique multi-relational approach, PMP strategically matches academically struggling elementary and middle school students with older, higher achieving mentor peers from the same inner-city neighborhoods.
