A message from Dan about your liberty:

"Here's a real-world reason why expansive government and genuine economic liberty can never coexist.

Locally, there is a public high-school that is long overdue for repair and was scheduled to be replaced. Our Democratic Governor removed the school replacement allocation from the budget and has failed to provide any adequate explanation.

The parents in the neighborhood are all hard-working middle class folks and are understandably upset about this. What's missing from the debate though is the larger point, "Why are successful, tax-paying families, who are net producers for society, being put in a position where they have to beg an elected official to spend THEIR tax-payer money on a project they desperately need?"

The reason is simple, as government expands their spending in a growing number of arenas, healthcare, education, child-care, student loans, and finance, they also expand their discretionary control over these components of your life.

Always remember, a single payer, i.e. the government, means a single-controller.
When in doubt choose economic liberty over control, it will never fail you."
