7th Annual Anna's Walqueria Walking Half Marathon

In addition to stopping at each restaurant, we will break for bebidas y refrescos as necessary along the 13 mile loop. It's a great way to meet new friends, eat good food, and maybe even practice your Spanish. And the best part is ...there is free food at each store and the event is completely free.

This year, we are excited to announce that we will be doing the 7th annual Walqueria as a fundraising event for The Home For Little Wanderers. This Boston-based charity is dedicated to ensuring the healthy emotional, mental, and social development of children at risk, their families, and communities. Anna's is graciously funding the entire event, including free food or drink for all participants at all six of Anna's stores and a $5,000 donation to The Home. Of course, bring money for tips for Anna's incredible staff and for any donations that you wish to make.

THE DETAILS:

At 10:00am on Saturday, September 21st, at the 1412 Beacon Street Anna's (location 1), every walker will get a pin-up number (so we can identify who is in the Walqueria), a punch card, and a free burrito. Registration begins at 9:30am. For the next 4 stores, Anna's will host the walkers with pre-made free food/snacks (lemonade, chips/salsa/guac, taco/small cheese quesadilla, Jamaica drink) and will punch the card of everyone who comes. Any walker who makes it to the 6th store (Harvard St. in Brookline) gets a free burrito, a punch on their card, and a free burrito coupon! Anna's will collect the cards at any store - so those (lamos) who drop out still get to donate their punches! SO COME FOR SOME OR COME FOR ALL!
